Gondavale

Gondavale is 65 kms from Satara. It is in Maan taluka. It's a samadhi place of "Shri Brahma Chaitanya Gondavalekar Maharaj (श्री ब्रह्मचैतन्य गोंदावलेकर महाराज)". Gondavale is a very famous pilgrimage place. It's get crowed on every pournima (पौर्णिमा) and at the time of Shri Raamnavmi, Gurupournima, Gokulashtami, Daasnavmi.

Gondavale is famous for Gondavalekar Maharaj math. Gondavalekar Maharaj was devotee of the god Rama. He spent a lifetime teaching the importance of peace. He showed path of devotion of god Rama to thousands of devotees. He taught a Mantara to people "Shri Ram Jay Ram Jay Jay Ram (श्रीराम जयराम जय जय राम)". You will see lots of temples in Gondavale some of them are shir Aaisahebas Temple, shri Appa maharaj samadhi, Thorale Ram mandir, Dhakate Ram mandir, Datt mandir, Hanuman mandir, Vetal mandir etc. One should visit a Gondavale once in a Life.
